who we are

circl. is a mental wellbeing and community initiative created by a team from the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation and Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. You can reach us through the contact form.

what we collect, and why

  • contact form: your name, email, optional organisation, enquiry type and message, so we can reply.
  • join circl. questionnaire: your name, email and your answers about what you'd like from circl., the activities you're interested in and how you'd like to join, so we can match you with suitable activities and circls. The question about feeling disconnected is optional and is used only to plan activities, never to assess you.
  • event registration: your name and email, to manage your place and contact you about that event.
  • app launch list: your email only, to tell you when the app launches.

Each form asks for your consent and records when you gave it. We use your details only for the purpose described next to the form. We don't sell or share them, and we don't add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

please don't send health details

None of our forms ask about your health, and we'd ask you not to include personal health information in messages. circl. is not a diagnostic or emergency service, and our forms are not monitored for urgent support.

how it's stored

Submissions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Access is limited to approved circl. team members, enforced by database security rules. To limit spam, we keep a short-lived, one-way (hashed) version of your connection address. We never store the address itself, and these records are deleted within a day.

how long we keep it

  • enquiries: until they're resolved, then deleted periodically.
  • community sign-ups: until you ask us to remove you.
  • event registrations: until the event and any follow-up are complete.
  • app launch list: until launch, or until you unsubscribe. Every launch email includes an unsubscribe link, which also lets you delete your address.

cookies

The public website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. A sign-in cookie is used only in the private team area. If we feature Instagram posts on the home page, they are shown with Instagram's own embed, which loads content from Instagram and may set its cookies under Instagram's privacy policy.
